Payroll Tax Consultant

Job Overview

This role is to support the HR and payroll operations of client companies on a global scale. The individual will assist HR and Payroll Managers in ensuring smooth and efficient operations while also contributing to the expansion of Marco Platform’s global payroll knowledge base. This will be a fully remote assignment with the option of being a Part-timer or Independent Contractor (if the individual meets the requirements), with an expected commitment of approximately 4 hours per week (16 hours per month).

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly gross-to-net payroll calculations, ensuring compliance with UAE labor law requirements, including Wage Protection System (WPS) filings, gratuity/end-of-service benefit calculations, and (where applicable) GCC national contributions (GOSI).
  • Assist in managing client companies’ HR and payroll operations in Dubai and across the UAE.
  • Liaise with local vendors for HR, payroll, finance, and legal support in the UAE.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email, message, and call, covering topics such as overseas visa applications for employees, onboarding and offboarding processes, reimbursement procedures, and local employment policies.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to follow up and resolve customer issues, ensuring customer satisfaction with our solutions.
  • Collaborate with the company’s HR & Payroll Manager to document and expand the knowledge database for HR and payroll operations worldwide.
  • Adhere to global guidelines, comply with service processes, and improve service efficiency and convenience.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in UAE payroll administration, including end-to-end payroll processing, WPS reporting, and gratuity/end-of-service benefits calculations.
  • MUST be familiar with the complete UAE payroll cycle, including monthly payroll runs, WPS submissions, and compliance with UAE labor law.
  • Proficiency with recognized UAE payroll and HR systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Bayzat, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor law, Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) regulations, free zone authority requirements, and visa/work permit processes.
  • Positive mindset, good communication and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: AED80.00 - AED200.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
