Payroll/Accounting Specialist

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is crucial in supporting our employees by ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing while also assisting with benefits administration.

Duties

• Process payroll using ADP for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain employee records related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
• Utilize accounting software and financial software to manage payroll data efficiently.
• Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries regarding their benefits.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data management in systems such as ADP, Paychex, or Workday.
• Prepare reports related to payroll expenses and assist in corporate accounting tasks as needed.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or other financial software.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, benefits administration, and corporate accounting principles.
• Familiarity with SAGE, Paychex, ADP, Workday, or similar payroll systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
