PBX Operator Lead

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead PBX Operator greets all guests in a friendly manner as they enter and exit the facility. The operator will answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate destination. The Lead PBX Operator will assist the director with various duties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Assists director in the management of PBX employees’ schedules (i.e. PTO requests, call ins, etc).

2. Demonstrates an excellent service attitude and acts quickly to diffuse any concerns and ensures customer satisfaction.

3. Communicate effectively with customers, visitors and staff through managing on-call schedules, overhead pages, and answering calls in a timely manner.

4. Forwards calls to correct recipients and contacts.

5. Demonstrate proper use of equipment including radio, beepers, telephone system, TDD phone.

6. Exhibits thorough knowledge of codes and alarm systems and can execute the procedure for responding to each.

7. Demonstrates knowledge and/or proper operation and safety measures in the use of equipment and alarms with ability to recognize and initiate corrective actions for abnormalities.

8. Communicates with Security and identities and reports potential security risks for campus and individuals

9. Keeps constant communication with Registration and informs them of any potential issues.

10. Completes reports as needed and requested by Supervisor/Director.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma/GEDpreferred
• Three months of related experience and/or customer service experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• No Travel Required
