Responsibilities
- Investigate insurance claims by collecting detailed information through interviews, site visits, photographs, and documentation review
- Assess damages accurately using auto estimating tools and techniques to determine repair or replacement costs
- Negotiate settlements with policyholders, repair shops, contractors, and other stakeholders to reach fair resolutions
- Detect potential fraud by analyzing claim patterns, inconsistencies, and suspicious activities
- Maintain organized records of all claim activities using case management systems
- Collaborate with legal teams on complex cases involving workers' compensation or liability issues
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, empathetically, and professionally throughout the claims process
Experience
- Proven experience as a P&C insurance adjuster or in a similar role within property or casualty insurance fields
- Proficiency in auto estimating software t tools used in claims processing
- Excellent analysis skills to evaluate damages, policy coverage, and claim validity
- Skilled negotiation abilities to settle claims efficiently while maintaining positive relationships with clients
- Demonstrated organizational skills for managing multiple cases simultaneously with attention to detail
- Experience in fraud prevention techniques and detection methods within insurance claims environments
