Job Summary
The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides essential non-medical care and assistance to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. PCAs assist with daily living activities, companionship, and personal care under the supervision of the agency’s care coordinator.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as:
- Provide mobility support, including transferring, positioning, and ambulation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as:
- Prepare and serve simple meals/snacks according to dietary needs
- Offer companionship and engage in conversation or leisure activities
- Monitor and document any changes in the client’s condition or behavior
- Assist with medication reminders (non-clinical)
- Provide transportation or escort for errands, appointments (if applicable)
- Use agency systems such as Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) to clock in/out
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow all care plans and safety protocols
- Report concerns or incidents to supervisor immediately
Experience
- Previous experience in personal care, home care, or healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Experience documenting care provided and communicating with clients, families, or healthcare teams.
