Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using tools like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate medical documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
- Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety and confidentiality
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support
- Perform catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic phlebotomy procedures when trained and certified
- Assist in emergency situations by applying CPR or basic life support protocols and responding swiftly to urgent care needs in high-acuity environments such as ICU or trauma centers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse settings including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, home & community care programs, and behavioral health units
- CASE INFORMATION: Male client, hours 12p-6p Monday-Friday with the potential for more.
Experience
- Prior experience working in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I trauma centers is highly desirable
- Proven background in medical-surgical units or emergency medicine settings with familiarity in acute care procedures
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate documentation
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and infection control practices including aseptic technique
- Hands-on experience caring for patients with complex needs such as infectious diseases or those requiring hospice or palliative care
- Demonstrated caregiving skills working with children or individuals with disabilities across inpatient or outpatient settings
- Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Phlebotomy certification (preferred), and relevant state licensing requirements are advantageous

Pay: $12.77 - $13.50 per hour
