Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those in retirement homes or receiving home community care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of personal care needs, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), medication administration, and monitoring vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance.
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Help clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring when required.
• Engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being and companionship.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with management to ensure comprehensive care.
• Follow NC State rules and regulations

Experience

• Previous experience in social work or personal care is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with home care systems and practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of ADLs and the ability to assist clients effectively in their daily routines.
• Experience in medication administration and monitoring vital signs is beneficial.
• A caring attitude and strong communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients.

Third shift 10pm-6am
