Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up the peach stand, ensuring all displays are attractive and organized for optimal customer engagement
• Handle the safe packaging and labeling of peaches, following food processing and packaging protocols
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the stand area in compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), FDA regulations, and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
• Monitor product quality regularly, inspecting peaches for freshness, ripeness, and any signs of spoilage or contamination
• Operate basic mechanical equipment such as forklifts or other tools safely when required for inventory management
• Assist customers with purchases, answer questions about products, and promote food safety practices during interactions
• Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment operation to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors

Experience

• Prior experience in food production, food processing plants, or manufacturing environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP standards, and food safety practices is highly desirable
• Mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery such as forklifts is a plus
• Basic math skills for weighing and measuring ingredients or products accurately
• Familiarity with sanitation procedures specific to the food industry and food processing plants
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
