PEB - Tekla Modeler

A Tekla Modeler in the Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) industry creates 3D models and detailed drawings for steel structures using Tekla Structures software. Responsibilities include interpreting architectural plans, collaborating with design teams, ensuring compliance with PEB and industry standards (like AISC), and generating shop drawings, erection drawings, and material lists for fabrication and construction. Key qualifications are proficiency in Tekla Structures, a civil or structural engineering degree, and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling:Create detailed, accurate 3D models of pre-engineered building components using Tekla Structures software.
• Detailing & Documentation:Generate various drawings, including shop drawings, general assembly (GA) drawings, and erection drawings, for fabrication and construction.
• Project Collaboration:Work closely with architects and engineers to translate design plans into constructible models.
• Standards & Compliance:Ensure models and drawings adhere to project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards for PEB structures (e.g., AISC).
• Clash Detection:Identify and resolve design discrepancies or clashes within the 3D model before fabrication and construction begin.
• Material Lists:Prepare accurate bills of materials (BOMs) based on the detailed models and drawings.
