Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric and/or Adolescent Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing comprehensive dental care to children and teenagers, demonstrating expertise in pediatric dentistry and adolescent oral health. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, performing dental procedures, and ensuring a welcoming environment for young patients. The successful applicant will be committed to promoting oral health education and maintaining the highest standards of safety, infection control, and professionalism. We offer in office General Anesthesia, CO2 Laser procedures, zirconia crowns, nitrous oxide, special needs adult care and more.
Duties
- Examine patients thoroughly, assessing oral health status and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to pediatric and adolescent needs.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including dental cleanings, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery with precision and care.
- Utilize advanced dental technology such as digital radiography and medical imaging to diagnose conditions accurately.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and safety.
- Educate young patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with dental assistants and staff to provide four-handed dentistry for efficient patient flow and comfort.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, medical records, and dental records in compliance with legal standards.
- Stay current with developments in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and related fields through ongoing education.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes.
- Extensive knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles, oral surgery techniques, and dental terminology relevant to children and adolescents.
- Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to communicate effectively with young patients and their families.
- Expertise in general dentistry procedures with a focus on pediatric-specific treatments.
- Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic technique, and medical imaging protocols.
- Ability to perform dental extractions safely while minimizing discomfort for young patients.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to pediatric patients along with proficiency in root canal therapy and dental fabrication processes.
