Job Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Completed or in the process of completing an Anesthesia Residency.
Completed or pursuing a Pediatric fellowship
Board certification or eligibility (BC/BE) in Anesthesiology.
Minimum 3+ years experience providing anesthetics in a high acuity or similar setting.
Job Description:
Overview:
Excellent "master of anesthesia" position, with robust case mix, high acuity and complex peds cases, as well as adult skill retention. The incumbent will provide pediatric anesthetics all the time, but will cover some adults as well due to the impressive Level 1 size of the ECU Health hospital system.
Schedule/Call:
Call shifts are a mix of pediatric (mostly) and general - call averages to 1 day/week and 1 weekend per month. Some in-house overnight shifts, pre and post-call day off. Majority additional call is pediatric backup (late person with back up at home on pager after 7pm). Call in rate is less than 5%. Post-call day is early out.
Compensation/Benefits:
Stable and competitive base, that increases for those on a partnership track
$100,000 signing bonus/stipend, and we will consider providing this stipend to a resident that is heading into a pediatric fellowship
