As one of our valued team members prepares for an exciting move to Washington, we are looking for a Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dental family and help us continue providing exceptional care to our patients.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Pediatric Dental Assistant who enjoys working with children and thrives in a team-centered environment. In this role, you will work closely with our pediatric dentists to deliver high-quality care while helping create a positive, comfortable experience for each child.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday
8:00 AM–4:00 PM

(Dr Phillips is out of office 2 days a week for General Anesthesia)

Compensation

$20.00–$24.00 per hour
Pay is based on experience and qualifications.

Location

This position requires coverage at both of our practice locations:
136 E Mallard Dr, Boise, ID and 60 N Echohawk Ln, Eagle, ID

Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare and break down operatories before and after treatment
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Provide post-operative instructions to patients and parents
• Educate children and families on oral hygiene, preventive care, and healthy habits
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment
• Maintain accurate dental records and patient documentation
• Support front office duties as needed
• Contribute to a smooth, positive, and efficient patient experience

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• Pediatric dental experience preferred
• Experience working with children strongly preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Proficiency in dental software and digital radiography
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
