Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment following infection control protocols.
• Assist the dentist during various pediatric procedures such as cleanings, fillings, sealants, and X-ray imaging using digital radiography systems.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety measures in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, documenting treatment details accurately.
• Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.
• Educate children and their guardians on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive dentistry strategies tailored for pediatrics.
• Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards to promote safety for patients and staff.
