Pediatric Dental Assistant

Are you passionate about pediatric dentistry and making a difference in children's lives? Camp Little Tooth is looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our fun, dynamic team! If you are an assistant who would like to develop a more diverse array of dental assisting skills, you have the exciting opportunity to be part of a growing practice. Team members who are interested in working with airway and frenectomies will have the chance to rotate at our brand new Tonge Tie and Airway Center. However, if you prefer, you can choose to stay exclusively at our pediatric clinic without working at the Airway Center at all. We value flexibility and want you to thrive in the role that suits you best!

New assistants are welcome to apply and we will train! The ideal candidate will have an upbeat, positive and friendly demeanor as our office is all about creating that perfect camper experience!

Location: Camp Little Tooth Pediatric Dentistry and the Camp Little Tooth Tongue Tie & Airway Center (Located in the same complex for easy coordination between both offices).

Responsibilities:

• preform cleanings and take x-rays
• assist with operative procedures including with patients under General Anesthesia
• set up and clean operatories
• sterilize instruments
• apply sealants
• Assist with frenectomies for tongue & lip ties.
• Assist with fitting and delivery of airway appliances for children with airway disorders.
• Create a fun, positive, and comforting environment for children and their families.

Camp Little Tooth Pediatric Dentistry is designed to be a full camp experience to make the dental office a fun place to be! Our campers love the camp therapy dog, canoes, cabins, camp photo booth, and the camp store. Check out our office at www.camplittletooth.com!

Requirements

• Dental assisting license. New assistants are welcome to apply and we will train.
• Excellent typing skills
• Exceptional communication and patient care skills
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental instruments
• Familiarity with Open Dental is a plus but not necessary and we will train.
• Passion for working with children and their families
• Excellent radiology skills and must have a radiology certification
• Current BLS CPR certification. We will pay for certification if needed.
• Attention to detail, great organizational skills, ability to multi-task
• Have a spirit of fun and a willingness to learn

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
