We'd love to have you join our back office staff Monday through Fridays. Our office is located in Ladera Ranch. Previous experience with Dentrix would be helpful, but a great attitude and a strong work ethic are our first priorities. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various pediatric dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings and restorations, using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring a clean, aseptic environment following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray imaging), ensuring proper positioning and safety measures in compliance with HIPAA regulations and radiation safety standards.
- Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating dental histories, recording vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records using EMR systems such as Dentrix; ensure all data is current, complete, and compliant with HIPAA standards.
- Educate young patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices, dental procedures, and post-treatment care to promote lifelong healthy habits.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a pediatric dentistry setting or general dentistry with pediatric patients is highly preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in dental assisting duties including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, sterilization procedures, and infection control practices.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix for managing dental records and documentation.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy related to pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
