Pediatric Dental Assistant (We Will Train the Right Person)

Most dental assistant jobs are fast-paced, task-focused, and leave little room to actually connect with patients.

At Palos Pediatric Dentistry, we do things differently.

We care for the whole child—not just their teeth. That means paying attention to emotional comfort, building trust over time, and helping parents feel confident in their child’s care.

If you’re someone who genuinely enjoys working with kids, takes pride in helping others, and wants to grow into a meaningful role in healthcare, this could be a great fit.

About the Role

We are hiring 1–2 dental assistants, and we are willing to train the right person from scratch.

You do not need prior dental experience or a coronal polishing certificate.

What matters most is how you show up each day.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with children of all ages and abilities
  • Help create a calm, positive experience—even for anxious patients
  • Support the clinical team in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate clearly with parents and teammates
  • Continuously learn and improve your skills

This is not an easy job—but it is meaningful work.

How We Work

Our team is built around a few core expectations:

  • We treat each child as a whole person, respecting both their emotional and clinical needs
  • We hold ourselves to a high standard and take pride in doing things the right way
  • We communicate directly, assume positive intent, and hold each other accountable
  • We support long-term growth and avoid burnout by building sustainable systems
  • We take pride in serving our community with generosity and integrity

If those expectations resonate with you, you’ll likely feel at home here.

What We Offer

  • Hands-on training in pediatric dentistry
  • A path toward certification and long-term growth
  • A supportive, team-oriented environment
  • Leadership that invests in your development

Who This Is For

This role is a great fit for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children (including those who may be anxious or have special needs)
  • Is dependable, positive, and willing to help wherever needed
  • Takes feedback well and wants to improve
  • Is looking for a long-term career, not just a short-term job
