Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dentist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional dental care to children and adolescents, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for young patients. The Pediatric Dentist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental issues, performing various dental procedures, and educating patients and their families about oral health.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations, including medical history review and dental examinations.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including preventive care, restorative treatments, oral surgery, dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care in a safe environment.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure the safety of patients.
- Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, including medical imaging and anatomy knowledge.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical documentation practices.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry with a focus on patient care and assessment.
- Familiarity with general dentistry practices as well as specialized areas such as endodontics and dental fabrication.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
