Agave Pediatrics, a fast-growing pediatric practice, announces an exciting opportunity for dedicated healthcare professionals. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position that offers a chance to contribute significantly to the health and well-being of our young patients. Please note that this is not a remote job; the selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our clinic located at Dobson and Pecos.

Duties and Responsibilities

Engage in HIGH VOLUME PATIENT INTERACTION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE to ensure a positive experience for all patients.

Manage appointment scheduling efficiently to accommodate patient needs and optimize clinic workflow.

Handle medical chart management using eClinical Works EMR to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information.

Perform front desk duties including check-in/out, ensuring a smooth flow of patients through the clinic.

Undertake daily opening and closing responsibilities to maintain clinic operations.

Maintain strong phone etiquette for dealing with patient inquiries and communications.

Assist in patient rooming, preparing examination rooms and patients for examination.

Conduct basic in-office labs and administer vaccines as required.

Provide triage phone call support to assist with patient concerns and direct them to the appropriate resources.

Work some Saturdays as required by the clinic schedule.
Requirements

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

Bilingual capabilities preferred, but not a requirement.

Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant preferred, but candidates with strong credentials will be considered.

Applicants should be able to provide a Medical Assistant Diploma or equivalent certification.

Experience working with insurance, managing medical records, and understanding of healthcare privacy practices.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.

Adaptability and openness to work with a diverse patient population and fluctuating work demands.

Capable of physical tasks involved with the role, including patient assistance and setup of medical equipment.
