Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for pediatric patients, including vital signs, developmental milestones, and behavioral evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, including preventive care, immunizations, and health education tailored to children’s needs.
  • Manage acute illnesses and injuries by providing prompt diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care in both outpatient clinics and hospital settings.
  • Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, ensuring proper dosage and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately.
  • Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, tube feeding management, spinal taps, and sonography under sterile technique.
  • Engage in clinical research initiatives focused on pediatric health issues like infectious diseases, behavioral health, or developmental disabilities to advance evidence-based practices.
  • Provide triage services via telehealth or in-person consultations to assess urgent needs and prioritize patient care efficiently.
  • Educate families on nutrition, medication administration, chronic disease management, and developmental concerns to empower them in caring for their children.
  • Support discharge planning and case management for hospitalized pediatric patients ensuring smooth transitions across care settings.

Qualifications

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in pediatrics (PNP-AC or PNP-PC).
  • Proven experience working with children across diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, clinics, or assisted living facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to primary care and acute care settings.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR system eCW is a plus.
  • Competence in performing procedures including IV insertion, venipuncture, catheterization, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Ability to manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, or behavioral health issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient assessment, health coaching, family education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and HIPAA compliance standards for medical documentation.
  • Additional skills in dermal fillers or esthetic laser treatments are advantageous but not required. Join us to deliver exceptional pediatric healthcare that transforms lives! Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
