KWalk Kids – Physical Therapy & Wellness, Inc.
San Diego, CA (Home, Community-Based & Virtual Sessions)

Pediatric Physical Therapist (Early Intervention Focus)

Are you a child-led physical therapist who lights up when working with babies, children, and families? Do you find joy in celebrating tiny wins, using purposeful play, and empowering caregivers to support their child’s development in everyday life?

KWalk Kids is growing—and we’re looking for a pediatric PT who is passionate about early intervention and aligned with our core values: positivity, collaboration, compassion, excellence, family, growth, and play.

About Us

At KWalk Kids, our mission is to empower families through hands-on coaching, routine-based interventions, and purposeful play—helping children reach their full potential through movement, milestones, and meaningful connection.

We’ve built a culture that values flexibility, support, and sustainability—so you can do exceptional work without burnout. We offer paid training, mentorship, and a collaborative team environment where you can truly grow.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Provide play-based, developmentally appropriate PT services & assessments
  • Empower caregivers through hands-on coaching, integrating strategies into daily routines for real-life success
  • Keep documentation streamlined and realistic
  • Manage your schedule with support from our team
  • Participate in quarterly playgroups focused on skill-building, peer modeling, and participation
  • Join and help implement therapy “field trips” (zoo, parks, playgrounds across San Diego)
  • Work independently while staying connected to a collaborative, supportive team
  • Attend bimonthly meetings and optional team events (journal club, happy hours, escape rooms)

You’re a Great Fit If You:

  • Love working with infants, toddlers, children, and their families
  • Are personable, flexible, creative & positive
  • Are well versed in gross motor milestones (0–3 years and beyond), handling skills, and can transform PT into play
  • Value clinical excellence and work-life balance
  • Are committed to continuous growth and learning

Pediatric experience (1+ year) is preferred, but not required.
This is an excellent opportunity to receive mentorship from a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist and a team of wonderful, dynamic PTs.

Requirements

  • Active California Physical Therapist license
  • CPR certification
  • Must pass a background check (must keep the littles safe!)
  • Reliable Transportation

What We Offer

  • Flexible scheduling that supports true work-life balance
  • Competitive compensation
  • A positive, supportive, values-driven team culture
  • Paid training and ongoing mentorship
  • Comprehensive benefits (details provided upon inquiry)
  • The opportunity to do meaningful, relationship-based work that truly impacts children and families
