PART TIME OR FULL TIME AVAILABLE
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic pediatric therapy team in an outpatient setting. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapists to provide high-quality patient care. Your expertise will contribute to the rehabilitation of patients with diverse needs, ensuring they achieve their therapeutic goals effectively and safely.
Duties
- Implement treatment plans for patients, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist (if applicable).
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients returning home or moving to other care settings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress within the required systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
- Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy or Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a PT or PTA.
- New Graduates encouraged to apply!
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
- Experience in pediatrics settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
