Pediatric Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Pediatric Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well child exams, assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of health conditions in children. Your expertise will support our mission to deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital units, and telehealth platforms, ensuring children receive the highest quality of care at every stage of development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of pediatric patients across all age groups
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and healthcare teams
  • Prescribe medications and administer injections, including immunizations and botulinum toxin treatments when appropriate
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions such as infectious diseases, respiratory issues, pain management, and trauma cases
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems , Athena Health, for accurate documentation, data collection, and medical records management
  • Perform procedures including suturing, intubation, ventilator management, and aseptic techniques in inpatient or outpatient settings
  • Participate in clinical research studies, clinical trials, and quality improvement initiatives to advance pediatric healthcare practices

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure in pediatrics or family medicine
  • Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations in hospital or outpatient settings
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems; experience with data management and medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to pediatrics
  • Familiarity with CPT coding for procedures and ICD coding for diagnoses; understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
  • Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to perform physical examinations and vital signs measurement accurately
  • Ability to work effectively within collaborative practice agreements and multidisciplinary teams

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
