Pediatric Registered Dental Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):

• Greet and seat patients
• Set up operatories for patient procedures
• Review schedules and anticipate doctor needs in advance
• Assist chairside in both the dental office and at the hospital
• Enter treatment plans
• Take x-rays as prescribed by doctor
• Performing prophylaxis on children
• Clean and disinfect operatories
• Package and sterilize instruments
• Keep operatory fully stocked
• Act as a liaison between the patient and the doctor
• Answering phones
• Taking/confirming appointments
• Writing letters to referring dentists
• Office cleaning/housekeeping duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma
• Iowa Dental Assisting License
• Active CPR certification

PREFERRED QUALITIES

• Pediatric dentistry experience is a plus
• OpenDental software experience is a plus
• Nitrous oxide monitoring certification is a plus
