Pediatric Registered Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care to pediatric patients across various settings

Responsibilities

• Cariac Peds ICU
• Monitor vital signs, manage airway support such as ventilators when necessary, and respond promptly to acute pain or emergency situations in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Educate children and their families on health management strategies, medication administration, nutrition, developmental milestones, and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate specialty areas such as cardiology, ophthalmology, infectious disease care, or behavioral health as needed.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care coordination to support long-term health outcomes for pediatric patients.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with pediatric nursing certification preferred.
• Proven experience in pediatric nursing across diverse settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers or PICU), outpatient clinics, or home care environments.
• Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, suturing, specimen collection/processing, and infection control practices.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; experience with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology related to pediatrics, and specialized areas such as neonatal ventilator management or trauma medicine.
• Ability to work effectively with children of all ages and collaborate with families from diverse backgrounds; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care is a plus.
• Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine settings highly desirable; experience with trauma medicine or urgent care is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills for triage assessments and patient education; capable of working under pressure in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care centers. Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
