Pediatric Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and experienced Specialist Pediatrician who is fluent in both Arabic and English to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide expert medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, managing both acute illnesses and chronic conditions.

As an experienced specialist, you will be a trusted partner to families, bridging medical expertise with cultural nuance and native-tongue communication to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, accurately diagnose childhood illnesses, injuries, and developmental delays, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Preventive Medicine: Oversee routine well-child check-ups, monitor growth and developmental milestones, and administer vaccinations according to local and international immunization schedules.
  • Chronic Condition Management: Diagnose and manage long-term pediatric conditions such as asthma, allergies, pediatric diabetes, and behavioral disorders, coordinating with sub-specialists when necessary.
  • Patient & Family Communication: Leverage native Arabic fluency to counsel parents and caregivers clearly regarding diagnoses, treatment adherence, nutrition, hygiene, and preventative safety measures.
  • Emergency Response: Provide immediate, high-quality medical intervention during pediatric emergencies and manage acute clinical presentations effectively.
  • Medical Records: Maintain highly accurate, timely, and confidential Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in compliance with institutional and regional healthcare regulations.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (nurses, allied health professionals, and management) and mentor junior medical staff or residents where applicable.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited institution.
  • Specialization: Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency training program and a recognized higher specialty qualification (e.g., Arab Board, MRCPCH, European Board, American Board, or equivalent).
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted Specialist License from the relevant local healthcare authority (e.g., DHA, MOH, DOH, NHRA, Saudi Council, etc.).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of post-qualification experience practicing as a Specialist Pediatrician.
  • Languages: Native or professional-level fluency in Arabic and professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) are strictly required.
  • Certifications: Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
