Job Location: Hampton, VA and Virginia Beach, VA

Job Hours:

• Shift starts at 5:30 AM
• Guaranteed 12 days of work per month

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pediatric Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. Coliseum Oral Surgery Center is a facility where we administer and monitor anesthesia during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and managing pain and anxiety. As a key member of the surgical team, you will assist the pediatric dentist and dental anesthesiologist during surgical procedures, ensure the comfort and safety of our young patients, and provide excellent care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the pediatric dentist during surgical and other dental procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for surgeries
• Monitor patient vitals and provide necessary assistance during procedures
• Ensure a sterile and safe operating environment
• Manage patient records, ensuring all information is up to date
• Comfort and reassure pediatric patients and parents before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical space
• Assist with patient flow and ensure timely procedures
• Educate parents and patients on post-surgery care and oral hygiene
• Adhere to all OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dental Assistant experience required
• Previous experience in dental surgery preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Dental Radiation Certification required
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with children
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule to accommodate early hours
• Detail-oriented and organized
