As a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), our long-standing private practice has been dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and families for over 50 years. We’re seeking a compassionate, board-certified (or board-eligible) Pediatrician to become part of our dedicated team.

About the Role

St. Petersburg Pediatrics is seeking a dedicated and upbeat Pediatrician to join our St. Petersburg team on a part-time basis. As a Pediatrician at our practice, you will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, helping to prevent illness and manage both routine and complex health concerns. You’ll work in a collaborative and supportive environment that prioritizes quality, compassion, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct well-child exams and developmental screenings for newborns through adolescents
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
  • Administer immunizations in accordance with recommended schedules
  • Provide guidance on childhood wellness, including diet, exercise, and preventive care
  • Treat minor injuries and coordinate referrals to specialists when needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR (charts to be finalized within 72 hours)
  • Ensure patients are seen within 15–30 minutes of scheduled appointments
  • Stay up to date on best practices in pediatric care through continuing education
  • Deliver compassionate, family-centered care and foster long-term relationships with patients
  • Provide supervision and clinical support to pediatric care team members
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and institutional regulations and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) with specialization in Pediatrics
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
  • Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics (or Board Eligible with intention to certify within 5 years of residency completion)
  • BLS Certification (required)
  • ECFMG certification if international graduate
  • Nursery privileges at Bayfront Hospital (required)
  • Familiarity with pediatric epidemiology, diagnostics, and treatment guidelines
  • EMR proficiency and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
