Wee Care Pediatrics is a well-established pediatric primary care clinic in Mesa, Arizona, providing care for infants, children, and adolescents in a supportive, collaborative environment. We are a majority Medicaid (AHCCCS) practice with a strong commitment to accessible, high-quality care and long-term relationships with the families we serve.

We are seeking a pediatric-experienced provider (MD, DO, NP, or PA) to join our team. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Position Overview

  • Location: Mesa, AZ (on-site)
  • Practice setting: Outpatient pediatric primary care
  • Schedule options: Full-time or part-time

Schedule & Work Environment

  • No hospital rounding
  • No call
  • Predictable outpatient schedule
  • Average patient volume of approximately 28 patients per day
  • Fully staffed clinic with Spanish-speaking medical assistants and front office staff
  • Direct access to clinic leadership in a collaborative environment where provider input is welcomed, discussed, and thoughtfully considered

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care, including:
  • Well-child visits (EPSDT)
  • Sick visits
  • Preventive care and immunizations
  • Management of common pediatric chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, ADHD, eczema)
  • Document visits accurately and efficiently in the EMR in accordance with AHCCCS and payer guidelines
  • Select the appropriate E/M level for each visit; billing review and coding support are handled by a Certified Professional Coder on staff
  • Order referrals and follow-up appointments as clinically indicated; coordination and scheduling are managed by dedicated clinic staff
  • Collaborate closely with experienced medical assistants, referral coordination staff, and front office teams
  • Occasionally participate in quality assurance or payer-related meetings as needed
  • Maintain compliance with clinic policies, state regulations, and Medicaid requirements

Scope of Role

  • This position is focused exclusively on outpatient pediatric clinical care
  • Administrative, operational, billing, referral coordination, scheduling, and follow-up tracking responsibilities are handled by clinic leadership and dedicated support staff
  • Providers are encouraged to share clinical insight and workflow suggestions in a collaborative, team-based practice environment

Qualifications

  • Active Arizona license (MD, DO, NP, or PA)
  • Board certified or board eligible, as applicable
  • Pediatric experience required (new graduates are not being considered at this time)
  • Spanish-speaking strongly preferred
  • Comfort working with a Medicaid/AHCCCS patient population
  • Strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and communication skills
