Position Summary

Modena Allergy and Asthma is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled full time Pediatrician to join our boutique allergy practice. This unique role blends concierge-level pediatric care with specialized involvement in our Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) program for food allergies. The ideal candidate will provide personalized, high-touch care to their pediatric panel while collaborating closely with our allergists to deliver cutting-edge OIT services.

This role is exempt (salary) and full-time. This role will be based primarily in our Solana Beach Clinic but may also provide support to other nearby locations within San Diego County. The ideal candidate is adaptable and enjoys collaborating across multiple sites to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Concierge Pediatric Care:
    • Provide comprehensive, personalized pediatric care to a dedicated panel of patients.
    • Offer enhanced accessibility and continuity of care, including after-hours call coverage.
  • Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) Services:
    • Participate in patient consultations, education, and ongoing management of OIT protocols.
    • Collaborate with allergy specialists to ensure safe and effective OIT dosing and follow-up.
  • After-Hours Call Coverage:
    • Provide after-hours support for both general pediatric patients and OIT program participants.
  • Clinical Collaboration:
    • Work closely with allergists, nursing staff, and administrative teams to deliver seamless, patient-centered care.
    • Contribute to the development and refinement of OIT workflows and concierge pediatric services.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: MD or DO degree with Board Certification in Pediatrics.
  • Experience: Commitment to concierge-level service and patient-centered care.
  • Licensure & Certifications
    • Active California medical license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Skills & Abilities
    • Strong interest in allergy care and willingness to train in OIT (Oral Immunotherapy) protocols.
    • Excellent communication, empathy, and organizational skills.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $180,000-230,000/year with productivity bonuses available. The actual compensation for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skills, education, and experience.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic, if applicable, for extended periods; occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs., bend, stoop, or reach as needed. Frequent use of hands and fingers for patient care and equipment operation. Must have normal (or corrected) vision and hearing and be able to respond quickly in a fast-paced clinical environment, if applicable.
