PEDIATRICS NURSING - ASSISTANT PROFESSOR or ASSOCIATE/PROFESSOR

Job title: Assistant Professor or Associate \Professor

Field/ Specialization: Pediatrics Nursing

Roles and Responsibility:

1. Teaching and Learning

· Participating in teaching (in the classroom, laboratory, clinic, or hospital) at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, using innovative, modern, and relevant teaching methods.

· Following up on, guiding, and evaluating students’ academic progress.

· Maintaining broad knowledge of the latest scientific research and studies (and clinical developments) in relevant fields to ensure quality education in accordance with expected standards.

· Contributing to curriculum review and preparing new courses for students within the area of specialization, under the supervision of the Head of Department or Program.

· Supporting and adhering to quality assurance standards and procedures at the university, college, and department levels, including providing all required information for quality assurance.

· Supervising technicians and specialists, overseeing laboratory and practical session preparations, and providing necessary materials for students during practical classes.

· Carrying out academic tasks assigned by the department or program, including preparing exam questions, invigilation and grading, academic supervision of students, and any additional academic duties assigned by the Head of Department, while maintaining the highest academic standards.

2. Scientific Research

· Conducting independent, internationally recognized scientific research that addresses strategic needs of the Arabian Gulf region.

· Submitting internal and external funding proposals to support research projects and achieve research objectives.

· Publishing research findings in reputable scientific journals, presenting them at scientific conferences, and using other suitable media to disseminate knowledge.

· Striving to build a recognized expert reputation in the field of specialization at both regional and international levels.

· Participating with department, college, and university members in joint research activities (when applicable).

· Exploring opportunities for research collaboration with academic institutions and research centers at national, regional, and international levels.

3. Community Service

· Participating in organizing workshops and training courses through the university’s Community Service, Consultation, Training, and Continuing Education Center.

· Collaborating with academic members in providing consultations or scientific services to external organizations, whether local, regional, or international.

· Joining professional associations and committees in both the public and private sectors.

4. Administration and Other Activities

· Carrying out administrative tasks assigned to support the college and the academic department or program.

Qualifications:

1. Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university.

2. At least 4 years Teaching Experience
