Job title: Lecturer
Field/ Specialization: Pediatrics Nursing
Roles and Responsibility:
1. Teaching
· Teaching a number of courses in his/her scientific specialization under the supervision of faculty members with higher academic ranks in the departments, making use of innovative and modern instructional methods.
· Following up and continually being aware of the up-to-date scientific research and developments in the scientific specialization he/she teaches in the department or scientific program to ensure that quality assurance standards are met in the instructional process.
· Contributing to review process of curricula in his/her discipline under the supervision of faculty members with higher academic ranks in the department.
· Complying with quality assurance standards and procedures for college and university education, as well as providing the necessary data and information for quality assurance requirements.
· Supervising and following up maintenance of laboratory equipment and making necessary arrangements for lab work while providing students with instructional materials needed for lab work.
· Accomplishing the supervisory and administrative tasks assigned to him/her by head of the department or the program and submitting required reports to head of the department or program.
2. Research
· Conducting research in accordance with international publication standards aimed at the development requirements of the GCC countries.
· Taking the initiative in making grant proposals for funding both locally and externally to support research projects and achieve their scientific goals.
Publishing the results of his/her research in refereed scientific journals through scientific conferences and proper media.
· Participating, where appropriate, with other faculty members in conducting the college in joint research.
3. Community Service
· Organizing training workshops in his/her scientific field as part of the community service provided by the university.
· Providing advisory, consultative and scientific services to specialized organizations locally, regionally and internationally.
· Participating as members in professional associations and administrative committees in the public/private sectors.
4. Administrative and Other Activities
· Contribute to the administrative responsibilities required to support the efforts of the university, the college, the department or the program.
Qualifications:
1. Masters degree from an accredited college or university.
2. At least 1 year Clinical Experience
