Delivers effective and age-appropriate conflict resolution training to grades 3-12 studentd, teachers, and administrative staff in Kauai schools
Delivers effective and age-appropriate communication skills training to the youth and staff of youth organizations in Kauai
Re-evaluates and modifies, as neded, the training curriculum
Effectively utilizes virtual training modalities
Develops and administers effective evaluation tools for the Programs including communications/mediation surveys, training evaluations, mediator self-evaluation, and sustainability criteria for each partner school/organiztion
Communicates with the Program Director regularly about the Programs
Effectively builds relationships with partner schools, onsite PM coordinators and youth organization staff
Develops and trains a cadre of adult volunteer mediators and mentors to conduct and to assist in the training
Develops an annual budget for youth programs
Works with DOE and similar organzations to ensure the programs are understood and supported by our partners\th
Coordinates a year-end celebration and/or confernece for partnership schools, your organizations, parents, teachers, staff and families.
Requirements: Ideal condidates have work and/or volunteer experience with school-aged youth, combined with experience/education in conflict resolution. Has strong connections with Kauai school administrators, teachers, youth organization administrators, and community leaders. Must have good computer skills. College degree, mental health and/or social work experience are advantages in this position.
