Title: Senior Automated Testing Engineer (Pega CDH)

Location: Pune / Hyderabad / Mohali

Job Summary:

As a Senior Automated Testing Engineer in Pega Customer Decision Hub, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust testing strategies that enhance our software development lifecycle and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop Automated Test Frameworks:
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand testing requirements and design effective automated testing solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium using Java or Python, TestNG, JUnit).
• Ensure test automation frameworks are scalable, reusable, and maintainable.
• Test Execution and Reporting:
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Generate detailed test reports and metrics to communicate testing progress and results to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams to prioritize and address identified defects in a timely manner.
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing:
• Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure rapid feedback on code changes.
• Work with DevOps teams to implement continuous testing practices and optimize build processes.
• Monitor test execution results and troubleshoot issues in the CI/CD environment.

Test Strategy and Planning:

• Define and implement testing strategies, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish testing timelines and deliverables.
• Participate in requirements reviews and design discussions to ensure testability of features.
• Performance Testing:
• Expertise in conducting the Performance test runs using tools like JMeter or similar. Experience should include the ability to do Load, Stress, Volume and Soak testing including the data insertion as per the business expected volumes.
• Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:
• Mentor junior testing engineers and provide guidance on best practices in automated testing
• Share knowledge with team members through documentation, training sessions, and code reviews.
• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.
• Tool Evaluation and Implementation:
• Evaluate and recommend new testing tools and technologies to enhance testing capabilities.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automated testing practices.
• Implement and configure testing tools as needed to support project requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in software testing, with at least 3 years focused on automated testing including 2 years in Pega Customer Decision Hub.
• Experience in Pega CDH (Customer Decision Hub) testing, with a strong understanding of Pega's decisioning and predictive analytics capabilities.
• Strong experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for test script development.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in test automation design and implementation, including best practices for test case design. Strong Database skills including Data insertion and updation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
