Penetration Tester

"Penetration Tester" is responsible for simulating real-world cyberattacks to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, applications, and processes. This role helps organizations strengthen their security posture by discovering exploitable weaknesses before malicious actors do. The Pentester will collaborate with IT, development, and security teams to assess and improve security controls.

Skills and Technical Competency:

• 2-3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a strong understanding of SOC operations, incident response, and security monitoring tools.
• Perform penetration tests on web applications, APIs, mobile apps, cloud environments, and internal/external networks.
• Use manual and automated tools to identify vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10, CVEs)
• Simulate attacks to exploit discovered vulnerabilities and evaluate potential impact.
• Plan and execute red team exercises to simulate real-world attack scenarios.
• Produce detailed technical reports and executive summaries outlining findings, evidence, and risk levels.
• Develop custom scripts, exploits, or tools to bypass security defenses when needed.
• Documentation: Contribute to the documentation of security incidents, investigations, and resolutions, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records are maintained for compliance and knowledge-sharing purposes.
• Continuous Learning: Actively engage in continuous learning by staying informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, system administrators, and other cybersecurity professionals, to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents.
• Having relevant industry certifications will be a plus.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology and relevant.
