The People Analytics Lead will lead the development of the People Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) by ensuring the integrity, scalability, and strategic use of HR data across the enterprise.
Reporting to the VP Total Rewards, HRIS & People Analytics this role leads the development and governance of the HR data warehouse, delivers actionable human capital insights, and enables HR and business leaders to make informed decisions through advanced reporting, analytics, and data visualization.
This position operates independently, drives continuous improvement, and serves as a subject-matter leader on HR analytics initiatives.
Summary Overview
The People Analytics Lead enables data-driven workforce decisions by designing, governing, and delivering trusted HR analytics across the enterprise. This role leads the HR data warehouse strategy, modernizes reporting capabilities, and provides actionable insights that advance organizational effectiveness. Operating as a subject-matter leader, the position partners closely with HR, IT, and business leaders to translate complex human capital data into strategic recommendations.
Position Description
Lead the design and development of the People Analytics CoE at Boardwalk HR. Own the maintenance, integrity, and optimization of the HR data warehouse and human capital analytics ecosystem. Modernize our current reporting capabilities to create insightful reporting which delivers actions and enables decision making. Help support the implementation of a cloud-based HRIS system and leverage AI where available to improve and automate our reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and govern all HR data warehouse maintenance and human capital analytics to ensure data integrity, scalability, and alignment with enterprise reporting standards.
- Evaluate emerging HR technologies and analytics capabilities to ensure a future-ready data infrastructure
- Research and interpret business trends and workforce issues to provide insights and strategic recommendations to senior management on human capital performance.
- Translate analytical findings into executive-ready reports, dashboards, and proposals, including recommendations for action or implementation plans, and present insights to HR leadership.
- Participate in and support enterprise initiatives designed to advance strategic objectives and operational goals, including analysis of human capital trends to inform future workforce strategy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to design and implement programs that drive growth, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness, and evaluate outcomes against defined success metrics.
- Identify and assess industry trends and benchmarking data, participating in external forums to build institutional knowledge and apply best practices to the organization’s people analytics strategy.
- Leverage HR systems and analytics tools such as Dayforce, Oracle Fusion, Spotfire and Power BI to deliver accurate, timely, and meaningful data and insights across the organization.
- Partner with IT data architecture and Reporting COE teams to improve data quality, governance, and reporting processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy.
- Create intuitive, data-as-a-service environments that empower HR partners and business leaders to make real-time, data-driven decisions.
- Drive data literacy across HR by coaching and mentoring partners on analytics tools and strategic inquiry.
- Coach HR partners and stakeholders on navigating analytics platforms, interpreting insights, and framing strategic questions that influence business leaders and drive high-impact outcomes.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging HR technologies and analytical tools to support a scalable, future-ready data infrastructure; partner with IT and business stakeholders to improve data accessibility and usability.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of HR analytics, reporting, and workforce strategy objectives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in HR reporting, analytics and application support (HR Systems and/or Reporting and Analytics) or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical skills and success in using data driven insights to make business decisions.
- Specialized experience is building and maintaining data warehouses, collaborating with IT to develop robust data testing protocols, and developer skill set for building reports and dashboards
- Strong project and relationship management skills and able to collaborate and mentor effectively across cross functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and networking skills
