Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee & Leadership Support
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and staff on employee relations, performance, and workplace issues.
  • Partner with managers to implement best practices for performance management, coaching, and professional development.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Support recruitment efforts, including posting positions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop staffing plans aligned with organizational goals and retention strategies.
Learning & Development
  • Assist in designing and delivering training programs to enhance staff skills, compliance, and leadership development.
  • Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with InCommunity’s mission and values.
  • Partner with leadership to implement engagement strategies and initiatives that support staff retention and satisfaction.
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate HR records, ensure compliance with policies, and assist with audits or reporting requirements.
  • Partner with HR Operations or Director to manage benefits administration, payroll support, and HRIS data integrity.
Strategic Initiatives
  • Collaborate on projects related to workforce planning, organizational development, and policy updates.
  • Participate in special initiatives to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
Education, Certifications & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HR or People & Culture experience, ideally in nonprofit or social services settings.
  • Experience supporting leadership in employee relations, policy interpretation, and organizational development strongly preferred.
  • Experience in IDD or healthcare services is highly desirable.
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license. Current personal automobile liability insurance.

None
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Primarily office-based; may require occasional travel to program sites.
  • Typical physical demands include sitting, walking, standing, occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Vision, hearing, and communication skills necessary for meetings, presentations, and record-keeping.
Travel Required
This position requires frequent travel within the Metro Atlanta area to other InCommunity locations to build and maintain relationships, investigate and build partnerships as the People & Culture representative.
