Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee & Leadership Support
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and staff on employee relations, performance, and workplace issues.
Partner with managers to implement best practices for performance management, coaching, and professional development.
Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Support recruitment efforts, including posting positions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new employees.
Collaborate with leaders to develop staffing plans aligned with organizational goals and retention strategies.
Assist in designing and delivering training programs to enhance staff skills, compliance, and leadership development.
Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
Employee Engagement & Culture
Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with InCommunity’s mission and values.
Partner with leadership to implement engagement strategies and initiatives that support staff retention and satisfaction.
HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain accurate HR records, ensure compliance with policies, and assist with audits or reporting requirements.
Partner with HR Operations or Director to manage benefits administration, payroll support, and HRIS data integrity.
Collaborate on projects related to workforce planning, organizational development, and policy updates.
Participate in special initiatives to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
Education, Certifications & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field required.
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR or People & Culture experience, ideally in nonprofit or social services settings.
Experience supporting leadership in employee relations, policy interpretation, and organizational development strongly preferred.
Experience in IDD or healthcare services is highly desirable.
Valid Georgia driver’s license. Current personal automobile liability insurance.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Primarily office-based; may require occasional travel to program sites.
Typical physical demands include sitting, walking, standing, occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs).
Vision, hearing, and communication skills necessary for meetings, presentations, and record-keeping.
This position requires frequent travel within the Metro Atlanta area to other InCommunity locations to build and maintain relationships, investigate and build partnerships as the People & Culture representative.
