JOB SUMMARY
The People and Culture Specialist is responsible for supporting and coordinating administrative and operational activities related to Community Savings Bank’s personnel. These duties include assisting with recruitment efforts, maintaining systems related to staff benefits, payroll processing, onboarding new employees, and insurance documentation and processing. This position requires a self-starter who is forward looking, organized, and a strong problem solver. This individual must stay well-informed of current CSB projects and initiatives and work collaboratively with leadership and People & Culture team members. A valid Iowa driver’s license is required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Duties may be adjusted or expanded as needed.

Process payroll in a timely and accurate manner, including data entry, audits, reconciliations, and coordination of corrections in compliance with applicable laws and internal controls

Coordinate the staffing process, including job postings, candidate communication, interviewing logistics, hiring documentation, and onboarding activities

Coordinate insurance-related documentation and processing, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and required employee communications; ensure accurate recordkeeping and timely submission in accordance with carrier and regulatory requirements

Maintain job descriptions to ensure they are current and compliant with local, state, and federal regulations

Assist with the development and maintenance of training materials to support employee understanding of job responsibilities

Provide input and recommendations for policy and procedure updates based on employee and organizational needs

Support employee engagement and retention initiatives

Support organizational compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations

Ensure People & Culture policies are applied consistently and accurately

Maintain company organization charts and employee directory

Maintain People & Culture systems, records, and processes

Provide administrative and operational support to People & Culture leadership and Executive Staff

Perform other related duties as assigned

High School Diploma Plus Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work collaboratively across departments, manage changing priorities and support a team-oriented work environment

Flexibility to work varied hours and travel to branch locations as needed
