People & Culture Manager – Industrial Manufacturing

Where: Louisville, KY (Fairdale area) | Schedule: Full-time | Setting: On-site

Our mission

A global manufacturer is scaling operations in Louisville. We’re seeking a People & Culture Manager to architect the plant’s people systems—recruiting, development, employee relations, and compliance—so the operation grows safely, compliantly, and sustainably.

What success looks like

  • 30 days: You’ve mapped staffing needs, audited HRIS data integrity, and built an interview cadence for hourly and technical roles.
  • 90 days: Training pathways are in motion; supervisors are equipped with coaching tools; payroll and overtime processes are running smoothly.
  • 6 months: Turnover is trending down, compliance audits are clean (EEO, FLSA, OSHA), and internal promotions are gaining momentum.

Your core responsibilities

  • Translate plant objectives into a people strategy that drives output and engagement
  • Lead end-to-end hiring for hourly operators, technicians, and leadership roles
  • Steward employee relations and ensure compliance with U.S. labor laws and safety standards
  • Design and deliver training and development to build capability and career growth
  • Administer compensation and benefits, oversee payroll accuracy, and manage overtime policies
  • Manage HRIS administration, reporting, and workforce analytics
  • Serve as liaison between corporate leadership and the local plant team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of HR experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Robust knowledge of U.S. employment regulations
  • Experience supporting plant operations and hourly workforce recruitment
  • Exceptional communication and employee relations skills
  • Fluent in English; Spanish or Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus

Additional information

  • On-site role in Louisville, Kentucky
  • Occasional travel may be needed
  • Ability to align with production schedules and support plant operations when required
