Payday is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Part-Time People & Culture Partner to support daily human resources operations. This is an on-site role requiring consistent in-person support across HR functions, with a strong focus on compliance and employee relations.
The ideal candidate brings professionalism, discretion, and strong investigative skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee leave programs, including full-cycle FMLA processing (eligibility, notices, tracking, and compliance)
- Conduct thorough and impartial EEO investigations, including sexual harassment and workplace misconduct investigations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance to employees and leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and investigation documentation
- Support performance management, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and workplace concerns
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and training materials
- Support audits, reporting, and compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with leadership to improve HR processes and employee experience
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience, with a focus on employee relations and compliance
- Proven experience with FMLA administration and workplace investigations
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, including EEO, ADA, FLSA, and related regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of discretion and ability to manage sensitive information
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP)
- Experience in a multi-state environment
- Experience with HRIS systems and case management tools
Schedule & Work Environment
- Part-time position – 24 hours per week
- On-site role – regular in-person presence required
