ABOUT YOU

This role requires hands-on experience with UKG, particularly the Benefits Administration module, attention to detail, and a strong customer-service mindset. In addition to benefits and leave responsibilities, this role provides operational HR support as needed and serves as backup to other People Operations team members during periods of PTO or increased workload. This is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional looking to deepen their expertise in benefits and leave administration within a collaborative, compliance-focused environment.

YOU WILL

  • Support the administration of Team Member benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, and voluntary benefits, under the guidance of the People Operations Director
  • Serve as a key support resource for UKG Benefits Administration, assisting with enrollments, life event changes, audits, reporting, and data accuracy
  • Assist with benefits invoice review and reconciliation to help ensure alignment between payroll deductions, employer contributions, carrier billing, and enrollment data
  • Support Open Enrollment activities, including system set up, Team Member communications, testing, and post-enrollment audits
  • Respond to Team Member questions and provide guidance on benefits eligibility, coverage options, and enrollment timelines, escalating complex issues as needed
  • Support the management of Team Member leaves of absence and accommodations, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and other protected or company-sponsored leaves
  • Work closely with the People Operations Director on benefits vendor file feeds, carrier integrations, broker communications, and issue resolution
  • Assist with compliance activities related to federal, state, and local leave laws, documentation, and tracking
  • Coordinate leave tracking, benefits continuation, and payroll impacts during leave periods
  • Provide backup support to other People Operations team members as needed, including coverage during PTO or peak workload periods, while maintaining primary focus on benefits and leave
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
