Per Diem / Freelance Personal Injury Defence Attorney (NY Bar Required)

We are seeking a highly experienced and courtroom-ready Per Diem Personal Injury Defence Attorney to handle court appearances and litigation assignments for our Personal Injury Defence practice. This role is ideal for an attorney looking to grow their own practice, with the flexibility to take on consistent case assignments from our firm. Responsibilities

• Court Appearances: Handle motion arguments, preliminary conferences, compliance conferences, oral arguments, and other court proceedings.
• Individual Hearings: Independently manage depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and other pre-trial matters.
• Litigation & Motion Practice: Draft, review, and argue motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and related litigation documents.
• Legal Research & Writing: Prepare focused legal research, memoranda, and briefs to support defense strategy.
• Case Management: Quickly evaluate case files and manage your assigned appearances efficiently and independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of litigation experience (required).
• Must be admitted to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• No J.D. or LL.M. .
• Strong experience in personal injury litigation, preferably on the defense side.
• Proven ability to independently handle court appearances and depositions.
• Strong oral advocacy, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
