PER DIEM DSP- ALL SHIFTS **WEEKLY PAY

Direct Support Professional -

Starting Pay: $16-$17hr

**Pay Frequency: Weekly**

Immediate hiring :

1) MUST WORK ONE WEEKEND A MONTH (Saturday & Sunday 8hr shifts)

2) Must work one additional shift a month (8hrs)

3 shifts a month REQUIRED & option to pick up additional shifts

Schedules are created one month in advance it is your job to give your required 3 shifts to the scheduler by the 22nd of each month .

Direct Support Professional Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Depending on level of dependence Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, and health care related tasks if it is in your scope of practice.
• Fosters positive relationships between caretakers and individuals served.
• Ensures client safety and maintaining a safe environment.
• Reminds and assists clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training).
• Encourages self-help activities.
• Reports changes in client’s condition or family situation to administrators and supervisors.
• Documents services provided accurately and timely.
• Performs home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning.
• Plans meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up.
• Accompanies clients to scheduled appointments and transports clients or running errands for or with clients.
• Assists with toileting, including bedpans, urinals, and commode chairs as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned and will be clearly defined depending on which client you are working with.

Direct Support Professional Qualifications / Skills:

• Ability to work in a single or group, home-like settings
• Communication skills (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company
• Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
• Ability to learn on the job, adapt to situations, and work under minimal supervision with integrity

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 8 hrs annual DSP training **MANDATORY
• CPR & First Aid **MANDATORY
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license & drivers abstract with less than 6 points
• Positive empathy based attitude is MANDATORY !
