Per Diem RN – Long-Term Care

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our long-term care team on a contract basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality clinical care to residents, support interdisciplinary care planning, and ensure a safe, supportive environment for individuals with chronic or age-related conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents according to care plans and facility policies
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform assessments and document observations, changes in condition, and nursing interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other team members
• Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records (EHR)
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Educate residents and families on health conditions, medications, and care needs
• Participate in shift handoffs and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or Compact
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility experience strongly preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or RedCross
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple residents
• Familiarity with long-term care regulations and EHR systems is a plus

Schedule & Compensation

• Shifts available: Days, Eve or Nights
• Facility prefers local candidates within a 30-min drive
• Start: ASAP
• Competitive hourly rate: $45 / hour

Pay: $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week

Experience:

• RN LTC: 1 year (Required)
