Position Summary:

The Supervising/Collaborating Physician ensures compliance with state-specific supervisory and collaborative practice requirements while supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Essential Functions:


  • Serve as the supervising and/or collaborating physician for a designated panel of nurse practitioners and physician assistants, in accordance with state laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state-specific scope of practice and supervision/collaboration requirements.
  • Provide periodic chart reviews, case discussions, and clinical oversight consistent with regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation, prescribing, and supervisory standards across multiple states.
  • Be available for telephonic or electronic consultation with APPs as required.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and other clinical leaders to support quality, compliance, and operational initiatives.
  • Participate in audits, compliance reviews, and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain professional liability coverage appropriate for supervisory activities.


Qualifications

  • MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical licenses in multiple states at least 30+ states.
  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or a related specialty.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience. Prior experience supervising APPs strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and Workers Compensation regulations.
  • Familiarity with multi-state telehealth regulations and APP scope of practice laws.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a focus on mentoring and supporting APPs.
  • Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based care, and equity in healthcare.
  • Strong clinical leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and engage healthcare providers in delivering high-quality telehealth services.


Physical and General Requirements

  • Able to sit for several hours at a time with periodic breaks
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to use fine motor skills to operate computers, office equipment and/or machinery.
  • Visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.


Compensation

  • Per shift compensation amount depending on experience
