Job Description:

We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Apache JMeter and performance engineering concepts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests across different applications and payment rails (e.g., Fedwire, FedNow, RTP).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop performance test scripts using JMeter for various APIs, web, and backend services.
• Conduct load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing for key systems.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to identify root causes.
• Create detailed performance test plans, scenarios, and reports.
• Monitor system metrics (CPU, memory, I/O, DB performance) during test execution.
• Prepare performance dashboards and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Participate in performance tuning and optimization discussions.
• Work closely with QA, DevOps, and application teams to ensure performance standards are met for releases.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter (mandatory).
• Good understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, SQL queries, and web services.
• Experience in analyzing results using Grafana, InfluxDB, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD integration for performance testing (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
• Ability to analyze GC logs, heap dumps, and thread dumps.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Groovy, or Shell) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with payment systems (Fedwire, RTP, FedNow, ISO 20022-based systems).
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to performance testing microservices and containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes).

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
