Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Band 5 Nurse/Perioperative Practitioner to join the dynamic Adult Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) at the LGI. This is a fantastic role for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and eager to develop their clinical skills within a fastpaced, forwardthinking environment.

Our PACU supports a diverse range of surgical specialties including vascular, plastics, orthopaedics, ENT, obstetrics and neurosurgery giving you the chance to build broad, valuable experience while caring for patients with varied and often complex needs. No two days are the same, and you’ll be part of a team that thrives on challenge, teamwork and highquality care.

As a Band 5, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective recovery for patients emerging from anaesthesia. You’ll work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team, including anaesthetists, surgeons, theatre staff, patient flow coordinators and ward teams, developing strong collaborative skills and confidence in clinical decisionmaking. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth, with support to enhance your knowledge, refine your practice and progress towards future leadership responsibilities.

If you’re enthusiastic, compassionate and ready to take the next step in your perioperative career, we’d love to welcome you into our supportive and motivated PACU team.

All applicants are required to have current UK NMC registration, with evidence of registrant clinical practice in the UK, or be a final-year nursing student studying in the UK.

Why you should join our Team

LTHT is a place where collaboration and genuine connection matter. We work closely with colleagues across the Trust and with our external partners because we believe that strong relationships help us give our staff the leadership, guidance and support they deserve and, in turn, help us provide outstanding care for our patients.

We want LTHT to be the best possible place to work. That means listening to our people, understanding what they need and creating an environment where everyone feels valued. We’re proud to offer flexible working arrangements that help our staff maintain a healthy balance between their work and personal lives, including their responsibilities as parents or carers. Our workforce is wonderfully diverse, and we are committed to ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities to thrive. We warmly welcome applications from all parts of our community, and we celebrate the unique perspectives and experiences that each person brings.
