Periodontist

Overview:

We are seeking a Part time Periodontist to join our dental team for one to two days a month. Compensation is 50%-55% of production. Our office will provide 5-6 patients with one dedicated assistant. The ideal candidate will provide specialized dental care focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease.

Responsibilities:

- Perform periodontal treatments including scaling, root planing, and surgical procedures
- Diagnose and treat various periodontal conditions
- Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists for comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices to maintain optimal periodontal health
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems

Requirements:

- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Completion of an accredited periodontics residency program
- State licensure as a Periodontist
- Proficiency in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, and dental terminology
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems for treatment planning
- Knowledge of infection control protocols in a dental clinic setting
