Periodontist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Periodontist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating periodontal diseases, performing oral surgeries, and providing comprehensive care to patients. You will work closely with our dental team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and maintain a welcoming environment in our office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of patients' gums and teeth to diagnose periodontal diseases.
• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, including non-surgical and surgical options.
• Perform oral surgeries such as gum grafts, bone grafts, and dental implants.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of periodontal health.
• Stay updated on advancements in periodontology and implement best practices in the clinic.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile working environment.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and periodontology.
• Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records.
• Understanding of anatomy related to oral health and periodontal structures.
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, enabling effective communication with younger patients.
• Familiarity with infection control procedures to ensure patient safety during treatments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and their families.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating leadership skills when necessary.
