Job Purpose:

To ensure effective coordination, control, and issuance of work permits in accordance with ADNOC’s Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring that all site activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with ADNOC HSE procedures for onshore and offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Permit Control and Coordination
  • Administer and control the ADNOC PTW system for all ongoing site works.
  • Review, verify, and issue permits (Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space, Electrical Isolation, Excavation, etc.).
  • Ensure all permits are correctly authorized, valid, and displayed at work sites.
  • Maintain up-to-date permit logs and records for auditing and compliance.

Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all jobs are carried out with valid Risk Assessments (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Toolbox Talks (TBT).
  • Verify that required isolations, barricades, and safety precautions are implemented before work begins.
  • Conduct site inspections to confirm compliance with PTW and ADNOC HSE standards.
  • Coordination with ADNOC and Contractors
  • Liaise with ADNOC Operations, Maintenance, and HSE teams for permit approvals.
  • Coordinate daily permit meetings to plan and prioritise site activities.
  • Support ADNOC representatives and contractors during audits and HSE inspections.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and updated PTW documentation for ADNOC review.
  • Prepare daily and weekly permit status reports.
  • Participate in incident investigations related to permit violations or unsafe acts.

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct PTW training and awareness sessions for supervisors and workers.
  • Mentor junior staff on ADNOC’s PTW procedures and safety culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field.

Certifications:

  • ADNOC-approved PTW Controller Certification (mandatory).
  • NEBOSH IGC / IOSH Managing Safely preferred.
  • H2S Awareness & BA Training (for offshore).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5–10 years in oil & gas (onshore/offshore) with at least 3 years as PTW/Permit Controller in ADNOC or similar projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of ADNOC Codes of Practice, HSE Standards, and SIMOPS management.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of ADNOC PTW procedures and safety systems.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple permits and ensure smooth workflow under pressure.
  • Familiarity with simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and shutdown activities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and PTW management software (if applicable).
