Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive PAS (Personal Assistance Services) Biller to join our dynamic PHC team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately processing and submitting bills, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance providers. Your expertise in billing procedures, and insurance claims will help streamline revenue cycle management and improve overall financial performance. Must be familiar with VESTA.

Duties

• Prepare and submit bills, ensuring accuracy.
• Ensure proper procedures for billing purposes.
• Follow up on unpaid or delayed claims with insurance companies and patients to facilitate prompt payment.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities, claim submissions, adjustments, and collections.
• Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve billing discrepancies or issues related to medical records or coding errors.
• Stay updated on changes in medical coding standards, insurance policies, and billing regulations to ensure compliance.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of VESTA. Medical coding and ICD coding systems.
• Experience with medical billing processes within EMR/EHR systems.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records management.
• Proven ability to perform medical collection activities effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for handling complex billing data.
• Ability to communicate clearly with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers.
• Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is preferred.
